The Company
Future Designs, Inc.
was founded in 1989 by a core group of dedicated engineers who
remain an integral part of the company today. Since that time,
FDI
has grown and expanded. Our staff currently consists of a
management team, which directs the day-to-day operations of the
company, a core engineering team, and a team of long-term design
associates.
This structure, along with our strategic location in Huntsville,
Alabama, is critical to our success. Our management team has a
diverse background covering Engineering, Manufacturing and High
Tech Business practices and possesses a unique ability to mesh key
ingredients from all these business areas. Our use of design
associates is also critical to FDI’s strategy as they provide a
rich pool of technical talent that can be tapped as needed.
Because these long-term design associates are not full time
FDI
employees, they do not contribute to our overhead. However, since
they have been contracted with FDI for years, they provide an
important part of our design team that is already in place and up
to speed. Our strategic location in Huntsville, the Technology
capitol of the Southeast, provides us with access to skilled
technical talent at affordable prices and places us in the
mainstream for electronic manufacturing services and integrated
circuits availability. |
