Can information be stored in a file? The PC-I2C software allows you to save all of your current settings by clicking on the "Save Active Device" icon (the little floppy disk) or by selecting "File" ->"Save Device" from the menus.  The data that is written to disk varies according to the currently active device.  If the device has data associated with it, such a memory device, that data is saved.  All of the devices save the device type and address.  The saved file has a default extension of .I2C and is currently in a binary format.
