Serial Module
The XTEND-MSM (Multiprotocol Serial Module) provides the ultimate flexibility in interfaces. The MSM provides four (4) independent software selectable physical interfaces. Each of these four serial interfaces can be software configured to support any of the physical interface standards listed below.
Each of these interfaces can also be configured as DTE or DCE by changing the user interface cables. The MSM is designed to be used in conjunction with either the XTEND-SCC or the XTEND-H4 Development Boards. The MSM utilizes the latest interface IC technology from Linear Technology (www.linear-tech.com) to provide flexible software support for a wide variety of serial interfaces. |
