This radio expands the basic weather alert radio function to support customized alert capabilities for emergency notification of chemical spills, radiation leaks, etc. The radio supports UHF/VHF and Wide or Narrow-band operation and is battery backed so operation during extended power outages is fully supported. The radios can be activated by individual serial number, group code, county and/or region.
