This design utilizes the ET2005 5 port Gigabit Ethernet Switch IC from Agere Systems to provide a single-chip Ethernet switch implementation. The 4-layer PCB supports either managed or unmanaged configurations via simple component load options. The device's ARM7 core supports full JTAG development and includes a serial port for optional communications alternatives.
