I am evaluating the BBB with the “Boot2QT 5.5” image. This comes with the Qt For Device Creation package. We are in the process of evaluating the Qt offering to determine its suitability in our project. This package uses a Yocto image that the Qt Company must have built. When I use the BBB with the standard on board image the screen works fine. The Qt image is the one that acts up. It appears as if there were 2 device handlers interacting with the touch screen.

I was hoping that I’m not the first to attempt Boot2Qt using the HDMI display with the resistive touch.

I do have to plead ignorance when it comes to drivers related to touch. I don’t know if there is a way to tell what is actually running. I don’t know what to look for in “ps” that would give me a clue.
