This 8-port gigabit Ethernet switch has 4 POE (Power Over Ethernet) ports and uses an external ARM7 processor. The POE circuitry is based on a PowerDsine implementation and is 802.3af compliant. The switch is capable of functioning as a PD (Powered Device), allowing operation without external power. The PCB assembly was designed to fit into an existing customer enclosure.
