(Huntsville, Alabama — July 20, 2015)
Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the ELI Design Challenge has completed! Phase 1 of the challenge involved participants submitting an entry to us proposing how they would use ELI in a project using a SBC. During Phase 2, we at FDI went through the entries and picked our favorites. We received many great entries, and decided to include three additional winners from Phase 1.
Here are the winners from Phase 1 of the ELI Design Challenge!
Ross Brandborg; North Dakota, US
Shamyl Bin Mansoor; Islamabad, Pakistan
Adrian Cox; Bromley, UK
Nicholas Sharp; Cambridgeshire, UK
Wesley Wieland; Minnesota, US
Raffi Tchoboian; Vienne, France
Craig Hissett; Peterlee, UK
David Lanteigne; Alabama, US
These finalists have won their very own ELI70-CR unit! Moving into Phase 3, these participants will use the ELI70-CR they receive from FDI in their proposed project. The participants have until August 15th, 2015 to finish their projects and submit the documentation on how they implemented ELI into their project. We are looking forward to seeing some great videos of the projects in action! Once we have received all the Phase 3 entries on August 15th, we will move on to Phase 4, where FDI will select the best project and award a single grand prize of $500.00!
The winning ELI based designs will be showcased at trade shows attended by FDI, as well as on the company’s website at TeamFDI.com. Additionally, we will help the author(s) submit the design to editors for possible publication.
The creators of each project utilizing ELI will be given credit for their work and linked to at both live events and on the company website.
