- FDI designed an industrial grade sunlight readable gauge for rugged outdoor applications requiring full battery operation, relying on the STM32U585’s ultra-low-power modes to hit runtime targets.
- FDI supports lab-grade, high-precision analog measurement equipment, leveraging the STM32U585’s mixed-signal performance for demanding measurement accuracy.
FDI Developed SuRG, a Sunlight-Readable Display Family, on the STM32U585
FDI’s SuRG product line is a family of low-power, sunlight-readable touchscreen LCD modules built around the STM32U585. SuRG displays an image while drawing 95% less power than a backlit TFT display, making the STM32U585’s ultra-low-power modes essential to hitting that target while still driving a capacitive touch GUI.
FDI Develops on STM32CubeIDE
FDI’s engineering team uses STM32CubeIDE, STMicroelectronics’ multi-OS C/C++ integrated development environment, for STM32 code development and debugging, including JLINK-based debugging, breakpoints, live data, and RTOS-aware debugging, all across customer and internal STM32 projects.
