This radio expands the basic weather alert radio function to support customized alert capabilities for emergency notification of chemical spills, radiation leaks, etc. The radio supports UHF/VHF and both wide- or narrow-band operation, and battery backup allows operation during extended power outages. The radios can be activated by individual serial number, group code, county, and/or region.
