On 12/13/07 Arun MI asked, “I need ICP method to program IC P89V52X2 microcontroller from NXP and I plan to use USB Dongle. But I have two concerns
1.Interface details of USB-ICP programming cable
2.The Vcc supply of my actual board is 5V, so for programming how can I connect it with the USB Dongle, will USB Dongle supports 5V operation”

Answer 1: The programming cable details are provided at (File Archived, Contact us through https://www.teamfdi.com/contact/ for the archived file) under the link “Cable Pinouts and Target Connector Information for LPC9xx” or more directly at (File Archived, Contact us through https://www.teamfdi.com/contact/ for the archived file)

Answer 2: When doing an ICP operation, power is provided from the USB-ICP dongle and not from your supply. Therefore, you will need to isolate your power system from the power provided from the USB-ICP when programming (typically with a jumper).
