Replacing the old PC-ISP-FLASH programmer with the USB-ICP-80C51ICP to program the XA-G49.
Old programmer has a 6volt input. New programmer gets power from USB (3-5volts) correct?
New programmer Pin 1 indicates Vcc. That powers the Target correct?
New programmer not working… trying to figure out why.
      Thanks for your help.

      Jeff,

Please see here for the latest documentation and resources.
(File Archived, Contact us through https://www.teamfdi.com/contact/ for the archived file)
      https://www.flashmagictool.com/resources.html

Per the quickstart guide, the target hardware unit must be self-powered. (USB-ICP does not power it) In addition the power must be “sensed” on the USB-ICP Pin 1 VCC input line.

If you continue to have problems you should email FDI support with your connection diagram so we can see if you are connecting something wrong. Then also send the flash magic settings you are using.

      Bill
