On 5/6/2009 Rtheta asked, “During development I use Flash Magic to download to LPC9xx devices using the USB dongle. I use the FM Terminal app to run the code. When I close the terminal the dongle is no longer available to FM. For FM to communicate I have to unplug and replug the dongle. I have scoured the manuals and forums but can’t find an answer. This is an irritation rather than a show stopper but would prefer not to keep unplugging and plugging.
Can you advise please? Perhaps another of the programmers in your range would perform better? “

      Answered:

When FM closes the terminal window, it puts the modem control signals in a ‘non-active’ state which in-turn, puts the target into reset.

When FM completes programming, the target should be running, and thus, you should not need to open the terminal window.
